Blue Energy: Generating sustainable energy with technology using salt water and fresh water

Blue Energy is generated using an innovative membrane where saltwater and freshwater bodies meet.

The technology, which is already being applied at the Afsluitdijk causeway, can be used around the globe in rivers that flow into saline seas. Blue Energy was developed by REDstack company and is a technology without CO2 emissions. As such, it contributes to the transition to a sustainable society. REDstack provides the Netherlands with opportunities to market the technology as an export product.
